How The Modern Vintage Loft was Born…
If you’re just joining us, WELCOME! This is the third post in the spaces series. If you’d like to see the first two posts, you can click below:
A QUICK NOTE: If you’re anything like me, learning and growing happens on the go: In between loading the dishwasher, folding laundry and driving to the next appointment. I took the time to create a video of this blog so you can listen on the go and pop in to see photos and resources in the blog post if reading something just doesn’t fit your life right now. I get it and I’m with you! Happy Wholehearted Hosting!
In this post, I’ll be sharing all about The Modern Vintage Place...the third and final unit in The Modern Marquette. This small loft space was a treat to put together. It quickly developed into a colorful, quirky, fun spot. I found pieces that featured the local culture at Goodwill and some character pieces from my favorite indoor flea markets. Let’s jump in! I’ll show you all the fun little details!
The Upstairs Loft
Let’s start with the small loft space. We went with a queen sized bed on a cute metal frame. We got the neon sign from a local brewery and it was made complete by a locally designed hot air balloon...which, of course, speaks to the International Balloon Fiesta. How fun!
Moving to the other side of the loft- a cozy chair to sink into and place to prop up your feet. Perfection! As with all my spaces, the bedroom area has all the essentials: a cozy bed, a bedside table with a lamp, a cozy place to sit and a place to put clothing. Done + done!
The First Floor
Let’s head downstairs. These loft spaces have very sturdy ladder-like stairs. They are really something. The floor level is full of more character. My favorite spot was the coffee cart. We found this old cart at one of my favorite indoor flea markets and turned it into a perfect coffee station! The vintage tool rack that likely hung in an old hardware store couldn’t be cuter. We hung some cute mugs on it and this little spot was ready!
Beside the coffee spot sits a genuine vintage table. It also came from my favorite indoor flea market and was exactly what this space needed. Add another neon sign, a surfboard above the door and some cute little touches in the kitchen and bathroom...I don’t think it could be any cuter!
That’s a wrap!
And that’s a wrap for The Modern Marquette! Ok...I’m dying to know..which was your favorite?

A Couple Shout Outs!
And since we’re wrapping up our focus on Marquette, a couple shoutouts: My dear friend Rosetta Ann did all the photography for these three spaces (and all of my spaces, for that matter). If you’d like to see her work, you’ll find her HERE.
If you’d like to check out my favorite flea markets, you can go HERE and HERE and HERE.
And while I don’t host The Modern Vintage Place anymore, it is hosted by a fellow Superhost and you can find it HERE. I hope you enjoy your stay!
