Hello! Alicia here.
I’m a born and raised New Mexico girl. Oh, and also an interior designer, real estate investor and educator with a heart that could burst with dreams, goals and plans!
Most days you can find me at home with my sweet boy doing the homeschooling mama thing. I’m juggling all the things: the ideas rolling around in my head for my latest design project, caring for my current guests in the Airbnbs I’ve designed and hosted, dreaming up ways to show up and serve my fellow designers in the best ways possible and I’m always on the hunt for the next great property I can restore to it’s greatest potential.
Life didn’t always look like this, though. Just a few short years ago, I was working long hours leading a team and serving families in crisis as a social worker. I had the fancy degree and the leadership role…but something was still not quite right. I needed creative expression and to feel more free to serve others in bigger ways. Who knew interior design, short-term rentals, real estate investing and educating others would be the answer!
I’m grateful every single day for this new adventure. There were lots of leaps of faith and sudden shifts along the way…but I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world! If there’s anything I’ve learned, it’s that nothing is wasted. And it’s not over yet! In fact, I’m just getting started.
Things that light me up…
A good cup of something hot + sweet…coffee, tea…I’m not picky.
Being outside in the fresh air + sunshine with my two boys.
That moment when a design just clicks…when I step back and look at what I’ve created and feel tingly all over. Because it’s perfect.
The little signs of progress…the ones most people miss. Those are the ones that make my heart skip a beat.
All things chocolate + comfy pants.
