Today, I’m sharing the design story for Alamo Dwellings Studio H. This is a really fun story! Let’s dig in!

BUT FIRST….A LITTLE BACK STORY

I designed and hosted C-F of this multi-unit set up. When things shifted in my business, it made sense for the owner of this location to shift his focus to longer term stays, specifically through Furnished Finder.

It was a joint decision and we remain very good friends to this day. So much so that when his renovation project was done and he had a new space completed that needed to be designed in Alamo Dwellings as a short term rental, he called me! I was overjoyed! Alamo Dwellings Studio H was so super fun to put together.

One more cool thing about this design project.  Do you remember The Modern Cozy PlaceThe space with the huge lofts and vaulted ceilings?  As is usually the case with real estate investing…there have been lots of changes at The Modern Marquette as well!  And that meant that I had all of the design elements from The Modern Cozy Place to use in Alamo Dwellings Studio H.  It was so FUN using all things I’d already purchased for a very different space and reimagining them in this cute little apartment.  We did need to purchase a bed a couch…but pretty much every other item came from The Modern Cozy Place! If you’d like to see that post and how these elements showed up in that design, you can click below.

THE MODERN COZY PLACE

Ok…now that we’ve got those fun details out of the way…let’s tour this little studio space!

KITCHEN AREA

When you walk through the front door of this little studio, you immediately find the dining area and kitchen to your right.  The kitchen is complete with a stove, microwave, lots of cabinets and a full size refrigerator.  I kept it very simple in the kitchen and really loved the way it all came together.  What do you think?

Is this not just the sweetest little dining area? If you haven’t yet, hop over to the post all about THE MODERN COZY PLACE and check out these chairs in the dining area of that AirBnB. I love how versatile they are! I got these little chairs from Wayfair. And the table came from my favorite booth at one of my favorite flea markets.

LIVING ROOM AREA

Directly in front of you, from the front door, you’ll see the living room area.  I was able to purchase this beautiful sofa from a dear friend.  It was very lightly used and just perfect for this space!  An area rug defines the space and a coffee table provides the perfect spot for a hot cup of something sweet while you enjoy the SmartTV mounted on the wall.

The little green dresser is one of my all time favorite finds!  Came from one of my favorite local flea markets and really completed this Living Area.

And did you happen to notice the super cute little sign hanging on the wall? My sweet friend made me these logo signs for my design projects and it just lights me up every time I see it! So cool!

PRO TIP: If you have a friend with a Cricket machine…ask them to help you make logo signs for your AirBnB and/or design projects!

THE BEDROOM AREA

Tucked in behind the Living Area is a bed.  We found this sturdy wood bed frame from another of my favorite flea markets We did have to reinforce the bed to ensure it supported the mattress, but it was still a great find!  A Lucid mattress and cozy bedding and this bed was good to go!

THE BATHROOM

Immediately to your right from the front door is the bathroom.  It had a very interesting “closet” space right beside the shower stall.  We settled on a floor to ceiling curtain on a tiny rod to cover the “closet” and with some fun, simple design touches this one was done!

THAT’S THE STUDIO!

I hope you enjoyed the tour of Alamo Dwellings Studio H!  This little spot was instantly successful.  It felt homey, cozy and welcoming and I’m so proud of the way it all came together.
