A Super Cute + Colorful AirBnB Condo

Well hello!  I hope you’re doing well and I’m so glad you’re here!  If this is your first visit to the blog, it’s an honor to have you.  This post is part of a series I’m doing on all the spaces I’ve designed and hosted as an AirBnB host...feel free to look back at previous posts to see some of my other spaces!  Here’s a couple recommendations:

TIME FOR COLOR!

Today, I’d like to welcome you to the official blog tour of the cutest little condo!  If you read my last post about The Silver Loft, you know that that design project was all about cool, calm and simple elements.  When I stepped into this condo...I knew it was time for COLOR!

We’ll start our tour upstairs. There are three bedrooms in this condo. Two upstairs and one downstairs. There are also three bathrooms, which made for a great AirBnB! This condo could sleep 6 people total. Two per bed and two per bathroom. Perfect.

There could also, technically, be a couch sleeping situation…so I believe we had the listings set at sleeping 7. It’s always a good idea to consider whether or not you’d like to have guests sleeping on sofas. It’s a personal choice that each hosts needs to make.

BEDROOM ONE

This bedroom. There are just some rooms that stick with you. This is one those for me! I found the mid century modern dresser at my local ReStore...for around $100. Friend. If you’ve ever shopped for mid century modern furniture, you know that that is UNREAL. I saw pieces just like this one that day at local antique shops for $600+. I was over the moon excited to find this deal. And it was PERFECTION in this room. I was also gifted the amazing paper art that found its home on the wall above the bed….and who can resist flamingos, sea stars and bug throw pillows? Does it get any better? I don’t think so! The curtains were an Amazon find and the bedside table came from another local favorite spot: The ABQ Collective.

Such a sweet little bedside table! Made complete with a lamp and a succulent. Done and done!

THE HALL BATHROOM

If we head down the hall, we’ll come to the hall bathroom. I just continued the theme of fun, unexpected color in this room. I found these fun wall decor pieces at my At Home store and the rugs came from World Market.

BEDROOM TWO - THE MASTER

Alright, let’s head to the other side of the second floor.  The master bedroom in this condo was HUGE.  We put a queen bed in the room and really just kept the furniture simple.  I got to use more of those amazing paper art pieces and love the way this collage wall came together.  Happy yellow curtains from IKEA  and sweet little corner chair.  Love, love, love!

You’ll notice that the dresser matches the bedside table in the first bedroom.  You’ll see the final bedside table from this set in the third bedroom. This set really completed the condo and I got the whole refurbished set from The ABQ Collective.  My friend there, Katherine, gave these new life and I was just so thrilled to have them in the condo!

The master bathroom was also spacious with a private bath/shower room and a full vanity.  The closet was big too!  I just kept this area very simple with some pieces that tied into the rest of the design theme.  Done and done!

BEDROOM THREE

Downstairs we go!  The third and final bedroom was smaller than the other two, but still had plenty of space.  I kept the wall decor simple, went with fun and unexpected color combos and just love that colorful circle rug!  Have you noticed the running themes throughout the space: flamingos, cactus, beach vibes…all in one space! I hope this inspires you to color WAY outside the lines and don’t be afraid to mix genres that normally wouldn’t go together. BE BOLD!

The bathroom for this bedroom was right around the corner with a walk-in shower.

Some fun and simple wall decor with a couple succulents and a lamp on the countertop and it was ready to go!

THE KITCHEN

The kitchen in the condo was spacious with lots of countertop space and great lighting.  Some pops of color here and there completed this space.  I especially loved the way the green bar stools made the perfect statement!

THE DINING AREA

This table came with the condo...so while it probably wouldn’t have been my first pick for the space, we made it work.  The wall collage behind it really helped to pull the whole look together and that bold colorful rug added that element of fun I was going for.  It came together!  And I just love the small mid century console that I found at my favorite local flea market.  It was the perfect addition to this little dining area!  Another lamp and a cute plant...the dining room was done!

THE LIVING ROOM

This last room is my favoriteIt’s on my business card, for heaven’s sake! Honestly, it might be one of my favorite rooms ever.  This yellow sofa is EVERYTHING.  You can find it on Amazon and I highly recommend this one!  It’s comfortable, it pulls out into a sleeper and it makes the perfect statement.  The room just came to life around this couch!  Another bright and bold rug from World Market and a great TV console that matches the retro vibe of the space...it really came together so well!  What happened on the wall above the TV is probably one of my favorite collage walls yet.  So many unexpected pieces...so fun!

And that’s our cute, colorful condoWhich room is your favorite?  Do you like this much color, or do you prefer to stay in spaces that have a calmer color palette?  Tell me in the comments!

And stay tuned, friend.  The next blog post will be all about The Cute + Cozy Bungalow.  This is an adorable little house in downtown Albuquerque with original hardwood floors and some super fun, unique design elements.  Make sure to check back next week for all the details!
